We are all fascinated with the underwater world. The development of practical diving equipment allowed mere mortals to relive the adventures of Jacques Cousteau beneath the sea. Those intrepid thrill-seekers needed reliable watches that could help them calculate when to return to the surface. Who hasn’t dreamed of a hardcore diving watch? Wish granted with this automatic diver watch, boasting the ingenious super compressor principle that proved revolutionary when released. While it also looks great on firm grounds, this wristwatch was made to live underwater and its appearance is a constant reminder of its abilities. – Dan Henry
I believe I purchased this watch back in early 2023 as the result of random key word searching on DuckDuckGo. I remember I was disappointed the 44mm was not available for this watch style but it turns out the 40mm is perfect. I really liked and still do like the retro design. Cool but not hipster. Orange is one of “my” colors so the overall composition was what drew me to this particular watch.
The rubber strap is super comfy and adjusts well for my 8″ wrist. But, the absolute top notch feature is the SuperLume quality on this watch. Yes, I have to take a leak at least 4X’s a night and so I always like to see what time it is as I head to the bathroom. Always on but not obnoxiously bright.
I have worn this swimming in the pool and then jump on my bicycle when it is 100º outside with no humidity. Bottom line….great watch! Not my daily driver but in my top 10!
